Mangshan Mountain, located in the southern part of Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, covers a total area of 20,000 hectares. There are over 150 peaks of over 1,000 meters, with the highest peak, Mengkeng Stone, reaching 1,902 meters above sea level.
The steep peaks and crisscrossing gullies are the first impressions of tourists. You may think how hard it is to climb the mountain, but you don’t have to bother with that.
In 2020, cableways, escalators, self-service “climbing machines”, cliff sightseeing elevators and other facilities were installed at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,600 meters in the scenic area to create an barrier-free tourist passage that allows people with limited mobility to reach the top of Wuzhi Peak without getting off their wheelchair throughout the entire journey.
Mangshan Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area became the firstmountain tourist attraction in China accessible for disabilities.
Mangshan Mountain, situated on the border between Hunan and Guangdong, has attracted a large number of tourists from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and become their top choice for ecotourism, summer vacation, and leisure.
Nowadays, Mangshan Mountain is attracting increasing visitors from the Pearl River Delta, and it will be known to more people in the future.
